Welcome to 2019 – what fun does the first couple of weeks of the New Year hold? Here’s a sneak peek.

Family Fish Day

When: 5 January

Where: Streaky Bay Jetty

Family, fun and fishing – that sums up the ideal way to spend the first few days of 2019. Cast a line from Streaky Bay Jetty and cross your fingers for a decent catch, as this fishing competition awards the best angler for reeling in the heaviest fish, as well as different species.

Norwood On Tour Street Party

When: 10–20 January (Tour Down Under race), 14 January (street party)

Where: The Parade, Norwood

When the streets are lined with food stalls, bicycles and Lycra, you know the Tour Down Under has rolled into town. Celebrate the electrifying atmosphere at the Norwood on Tour Street Party, with live performances, face painting, food, and even circus shows.

RAA Member Drive-In Event

When: 11 January

Where: Mainline Drive-in, Gepps Cross

There’s just over a week until one of the biggest events on our calendar – the RAA Member Movie Night. This year, Disney’s Mary Poppins Returns – the sequel to the beloved childhood classic – will screen at Mainline Drive-in at Gepps Cross. Tickets for a car load of up to 5 people are only $13, and include entry to Mainline Drive-in. Gates open at 7pm. Check out all of the fun from last year’s event in the video below.

Barossa Seasons: Summer

When: 11–13 January

Where: 66–68 Murray St, Tanunda

How many events can you attend in the Barossa Valley in 3 days? Try 7, thanks to local producers who’ve come together to entertain visitors with delicious food, music and, of course, wine. From voting for your best blends in the wine challenge to ending the weekend feasting on local produce in The Greenock’s pub garden, this summer festival’s schedule is the perfect way to experience the Barossa.

Australia V India One Day International

When: 15 January

Where: Adelaide Oval

You know summer’s in full swing when the green and gold hit the pitch. Head to Adelaide Oval to see the Aussies take on India in the One Day International. RAA members can also get a whopping 25% off selected tickets. Ticket sales close 7 January, so book now to avoid disappointment.
