Can you believe Christmas is already creeping into our events calendar? The end of the year may be approaching, but until then, there are tunes, brews and pageant floats to keep you entertained.
1. National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant
When: 9 November
Where: Adelaide CBD
Hear that? It’s the sound of sleigh bells ringing. It’s pageant time, which means Santa is making his way to South Australia. Get the family together for one of the state’s most-loved events and see colourful floats roll through the city. Watch closely and you might catch a glimpse of the big man in red.

2. Handpicked Festival
When: 9 November
Where: Langhorne Creek
Stretch out your picnic blanket, grab a glass of local vino and bop along to tunes among the vines at Handpicked Festival on the Fleurieu Peninsula. This year’s line-up features Aussie superstars Missy Higgins and John Butler, among other big names.

3. A Day on the Green
When: 10 November
Where: McLaren Vale
The grass is definitely greener at A Day on the Green. Why? It might have something to do with Matchbox Twenty front man Rob Thomas gracing the stage. Of course, there’s some home-grown talent too, with Aussie musician Pete Murray belting out iconic tunes. Stick around for a chance to meet artists at the signing desk.

4. Morgan Living River Festival
When: 16–17 November
Where: Riverland
Calling all boating enthusiasts. Head to the charming Riverland town of Morgan for a weekend by the Murray. Browse food and market stalls, check out a range of wooden boat displays or embark on paddle steamer cruises. There’s also a putt putt challenge as well as a vintage car display from the Murray Mallee Auto Club.

5. Beer and Bubbles
When: 16 November
Where: Adelaide CBD
Pop open the bubbly. Vardon Avenue in Adealaide’s east end transforms into the ultimate pop-up tasting event on 16 November. We can think of worse ways to spend our afternoon than sipping on South Australia’s best craft beers, ciders and wine. Cheers to that.
